Since 2008 Sueshiro Sana, a ninth-generation Japanese shipwright, has produced eleven beautifully hand-crafted wooden bikes out of mahogany. This isn’t just the frame either - by drawing inspiration using techniques learnt whilst shipbuilding, Sana has been able to produce forks, seat posts, seat, stems, handlebars and even rims from wood as well.
